NYPD officer jumps on to subway tracks to rescue man

Two New York City cops sprang into motion to assist save a person who had fallen on to subway tracks – marking their second heroic rescue in latest months.

The NYPD officers had been inspecting Carroll Street station final week after they witnessed a person fall on to the tracks.

In bodycam footage launched by the power, officers Garcia and Mohan could be seen working to the person’s assist.

“I fell, I must have slipped off,” the person could be heard saying within the quick clip.

In the video, one of many officers jumps down on to the tracks to present the person a lift whereas his accomplice pulls him again on to the platform.

The second officer then presents a hand to tug his colleague again to security earlier than the person is transported into the care of medics.

Posting the rescue on X, NYPD News mentioned the officers “once again” saved the day.

The submit highlighted a earlier rescue at Brooklyn pier in October, the place the officers responded to a report of somebody probably within the water.
