Former Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins’s accidents aren’t believed to be severe after he was attacked in jail, police have mentioned.
The paedophile rock star was taken to hospital after he was reportedly stabbed at HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire.
Police mentioned they had been notified by jail employees of an assault on a prisoner on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire pressure mentioned: “He was taken to hospital where his injuries are not understood to be life-threatening.”
Police mentioned enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A supply informed the Mirror he had been taken hostage by three different inmates on Saturday morning.
Watkins, 46, was jailed for 29 years in December 2013 with an additional six years on licence, after admitting a string of intercourse offences – together with the tried rape of a fan’s child.
The disgraced singer was arrested following the execution of a medication warrant at his Pontypridd house on 21 September 2012 when numerous computer systems, cell phones and storage gadgets had been seized.
