Israel-Hamas conflict: Hundreds protest close to US Capitol calling for ceasefire

Hundreds of individuals have attended a peace protest close to the US Capitol.

The activists rallied in Washington DC, calling on President Joe Biden’s administration and Congress to press for a ceasefire within the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Some 200 protesters, many from the group Jewish Voice for Peace, stuffed a part of the Cannon House Office Building close to the Capitol constructing, chanting: “The world is watching.”

Some activists wore t-shirts with slogans, together with one which learn: “Jews say ceasefire now”

A bunch of round 500 different protesters blocked off Independence Avenue exterior.

Some wore black t-shirts emblazoned with messages together with “Jews say ceasefire now” and “not in our name”.

US Capitol police stated officers started arresting protesters who refused to adjust to orders to depart the world.
