Jason Derulo denies accusation of sexual harassment

Jason Derulo has been accused of sexually harassing a lady he provided a report contract to.

Emaza Gibson, 25, alleges that the singer provided her a deal as a solo artist in August 2021 – solely to retract it the next September after she refused his sexual advances.

The lawsuit, which was filed on the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, seeks damages for emotional misery, unpaid wages, lack of earnings, deferred compensation and employment advantages.

Ms Gibson’s claims embrace quid-pro-quo sexual harassment, intimidation and breach of contract.

She advised Sky News’ associate community NBC News that she was left “anxious” and “traumatised” by the expertise.

In a video posted on his Instagram, Derulo vehemently denied her claims.

The 34-year-old mentioned: “I would not usually remark however these claims are utterly false and hurtful. I stand towards all types of harassment and I stay supportive of anyone following their goals.

“I’ve always strived to live my life in a positively impactful way, and that’s why I sit here before you – deeply offended by these defamatory claims. God bless.”

Ms Gibson alleges that Derulo “maliciously” promised her fame and success with a three way partnership between his music label Future History and Atlantic Records.

She was advised to provide a mixtape in 4 months and an album in six months – and that one in every of her singles would characteristic Derulo, the courtroom paperwork say.

But she says he pressurised her to socialize with him, providing her “inappropriately large amounts of alcohol”.

On one event in what has been described as “explicit demand for sex in exchange for success”, the courtroom submitting alleges that Derulo demanded she participate in a sexual ritual often called “goat skin fish scales” – involving a sacrificial goat and cocaine.

The lawsuit lists Derulo, well-known for his hits Whatcha Say and Ridin’ Solo, his supervisor Frank Harris, Atlantic Records, RCA Records and Future History within the case.

None of these listed responded to NBC’s requests for remark.
