Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has visited the birthplace of Welsh poet and author Dylan Thomas in Carmarthenshire.
Depp had been a “huge Dylan Thomas fan since he was a young boy”, based on the household who personal the birthplace in Laugharne and run it as an attraction to guests.
The actor, who has appeared in movies together with Pirates of the Caribbean, stated he was “dumbfounded” to work the place Thomas as soon as had.
The house owners stated Depp was “warm and generous with his enthusiasm” for Thomas and his birthplace.
Last 12 months, Depp was forged in his first film position since a high-profile defamation case with ex-wife Amber Heard.
Depp visited the birthplace on Friday forward of a gig in Swansea together with his band the Hollywood Vampires.
Thomas wrote two-thirds of his printed work, which incorporates drama Under Milk Wood, on the home which was restored from a pupil bedsit to its 1918 situation by Geoff Haden in 2005.
The home was formally opened by Thomas’ daughter in 2008 on the 94th anniversary of his beginning.

During his go to, Depp spoke with Mr Haden concerning the instances they’d met President Jimmy Carter, who can also be reportedly a fan of Thomas’ work.
Before he left, Depp wrote a remark within the guests’ e book which ended with: “All respect always, Johnny”.
