Pepper X named as world’s hottest chilli by Guinness World Records after 10-year effort to create new stage of warmth

Pepper X has formally been named the world’s hottest chilli.

Guinness World Records introduced it had changed the Carolina Reaper.

Both varieties have been created by Ed Currie – which suggests he is damaged his personal document.

Pepper X has been a decade-long obsession. It took him 10 years to get Pepper X from the primary crossbreed experiment to the document.

It is a crossbreed of a Carolina Reaper and what Mr Currie mysteriously classifies as a “pepper that a friend of mine sent me from Michigan that was brutally hot”.
