Police known as to ‘disturbance’ at Grease present in London’s West End as 4 theatregoers escorted out

Police had been known as to a “disturbance” at a West End efficiency of Grease, as officers needed to escort 4 theatregoers from the theatre.

Officers had been known as to the Dominion Theatre in central London at 8.40pm on Saturday.

Audience member Ryan Redmond informed Sky News that two males and two ladies had been being “rude and abusive” on the balcony – however refused to depart after being spoken to by employees.

“It was the 7.30 show and it happened during the interval and delayed the second half by 20 minutes,” Mr Redmond stated.

“Bar staff told me one had been rude or abusive and was asked to leave then others in the group got involved.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated in a press release: “Shortly before 8.40pm on Saturday, August 26, police received reports of two men and two women causing a disturbance at a theatre in Tottenham Court Road, W1.

“Officers attended and the group had been escorted from the premises. No arrests. No accidents reported.”

Grease the Musical returned to the West End in June and is because of end after a brief run on 28 October.
