Particular stamps mark sixty fifth birthday of Paddington bear

pecial stamps are being issued to have a good time 65 years of marmalade-loving bear Paddington.

Six stamps in the principle set are taken from Ivor Wood’s strip cartoons of Paddington, which have been initially revealed within the London Evening News paper within the late Seventies because the character turned a star of the small display.

Working with the animation firm FilmFair, Wood designed and directed the primary Paddington tv sequence for the BBC from 1976.
