Unarmed truck driver attacked by police canine after surrendering to officers in Ohio

Police in Ohio have launched an investigation after a 23-year-old truck driver was attacked by a police canine after surrendering to officers along with his fingers up.

Driver Jadarrius Rose was pursued by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on 4 July after failing to cease his truck that was “missing a left rear mud flap”, in response to an incident report.

The Circleville Police Department, together with a police canine, have been known as to help after Rose initially refused to get out of the car.

Video footage supplied by the freeway patrol reveals Rose standing in entrance of the truck along with his fingers raised.

Moments later, the officer unleashes the police canine, regardless of calls from one other officer telling him: “Do not release the dog.”

Bodycam footage reveals the canine operating in the direction of Rose, with the canine showing to chew and pull him over.

Rose might be heard screaming, “please get it off”. He was later handled in hospital for canine bites and charged with failure to conform.

The dog-handler was recognized as officer Ryan Speakman by the freeway patrol incident report.

An announcement from Circleville Police doesn’t affirm the identification of the officer or reveal whether or not they may face any disciplinary motion.

Recordings of a 911 name made by a person believed to be Rose have been launched by the Ross County Sheriff’s workplace on Monday.

They present a person inform dispatchers that officers have been “trying to kill” him and that he did not really feel protected pulling his car over.

“Right now I’m being chased by like 20 police officers and they all got their guns pointed directly to my truck,” Rose mentioned throughout a two-minute name, in response to NBC.

The dispatcher repeatedly informed Rose he ought to cease and adjust to police, and likewise informed him the officers weren’t attempting to hurt him.
